Gian-Franco Melendez graduated from the University of Florida in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Upon graduating from the University of Florida, Gian-Franco continued his studies back home in the Tampa Bay area at Stetson University College of Law.
While at Stetson, Gian-Franco served as the Vice-President and Events Coordinator of the Stetson Hispanic Bar Association and was active in the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He interned in Gulfcoast Legal Service’s Immigration Unit, assisting victims of domestic and sexual violence apply for U-Visas. He participated in Stetson’s Veterans Advocacy Clinic, assisting military veterans appeal VA benefit denials. He also clerked for the law firm, Ron Wolfe and Associates and had the distinct honor of serving as a federal judicial intern for the Honorable Virginia M. Hernandez Covington.
Gian-Franco graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 2014. In his time as an attorney, he has experience in Immigration, Estate Planning, General Business Representation, Business Litigation, Real Estate, Contract Law, Probate, Employment and Labor Law, and Workers Compensation. He currently serves on the Programs Committee of the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association and as the Co-Chair of the Solo Practitioner & Small Firm Section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Tampa Jesuit Bar Association.
Gian-Franco currently resides in Pinellas County and has an office location in South Tampa. He has been Of Counsel at Dolman Law Group in the areas of Immigration, Business Representation, Real Estate, and Estate Planning since August of 2018. In his spare time, Gian-Franco enjoys watching Tampa sports and the Gators, traveling, and spending time with his fiancé Caryn, their dog Tobi, and their cat Rocky.
