While in law school, Julia was Captain of Stetson’s National Moot Court Team, earning two consecutive Regional Championships and Best Brief Awards. In January, 2013, Julia’s team became the first in Stetson’s history to win the New York City Bar’s National Moot Court Competition— one of the oldest and most prestigious law school competitions in the country. During the competition, the American College of Trial Lawyers awarded Julia with a Best Advocate Award.
Throughout law school, Julia was an active member of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity, the Bruce R. Jacobs Appellate Inn of Court and the ABA Law Student Division. Julia also received the Highest Grade Award in Contracts, Pretrial Practice and Florida Probate.
In addition to pursuing her passion to become a litigator, Julia has acquired knowledge into the intricacies of our legal system by serving as a judicial intern to the Honorable Chris Altenbernd and the Honorable Darryl C. Casanueva at the Second District Court of Appeal, as well as the Honorable William P. Levens and the Honorable Nicolas Nazaretian at the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa.
Upon graduating from Stetson, Julia was presented with the Michael P. Allen Award for Excellence and Professionalism—an award given to the member of the graduating class who combines the qualities of academic achievement, skill in both oral and written advocacy, professionalism, and civility.
