This week shows a hefty number of vehicular failures with a dash sea salt. From faulty tires to defective fuel filters and bacteria-infested baby wipes; these are just a few of the things you should keep an eye out for this week.

Tires

Continental’sContiAttack SM, ContiSportAttack, ContiSportAttack2, ContiRaceAttack Comp. Soft, Medium, or Endurance, and ContiRoadAttack 2 GTW” motorcycle tires due to a possible separation between the tread, belt, and carcass which may cause a loss of inflation posing the increased risk of crashing.

Michelin’sLTX M/S” tires due to tread separation which may cause a loss of inflation posing the increased risk of crashing. These products will have been manufactured between January 10th, 2014 and June 23rd, 2012 and will include the size LT225/75R16 115/112R LRE.

Bridgestone’sFirestone HP3000” tires due to a possible crack at the inner liner splice which may penetrate into the sidewall of the tire and cause a bulge posing the increased risk of crashing. These products will have been manufactured between January, 2012 and August, 2013 and will include the size 315/80R22.5 18.

Motor Vehicles

Chrysler’sJeep Grand Cherokee” vehicles due to faulty steering software installed in the vehicle which may hinder the driver’s steering control posing the increased risk of crashing. These products will have been manufactured between October 3rd, 2013 and April 11th, 2014.

Navistar’sIC Bus CE” school buses due to a defective fuel filter which may separate from the filter housing and cause the engine to stall posing the increased risk of crashing. These products will have been manufactured between May 13th, 2014 and July 24th, 2014 and the fuel filter will have a part number of FF63009.

Jayco’sJay Flight” trailers of product due to the incorrect positioning of the roof ladder which may become unattached during use posing the increased risk of injury to the ladder user. These products will have been manufactured between May 19th, 2014 and May 21st, 2014.

Foods, Medicines, and Cosmetics

Chetak New York’sDeep Raw Cashew Pieces” cashews due to a possible salmonella infection which may cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in those with naturally or degradedly weak immune systems. These products will have been distributed between March 12th, 2014 and October 21st, 2014 and the item will have a serial number of 011433133(104, 111, or 128) and will include the 7oz, 14oz, and 28oz packages.

Nutek Disposable’s baby wipes due to a possible bacterial contamination which may pose as a health risk to those with weakened immune systems. These products will include the brand-named wipes: Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred’s, Kidgets, Member’s Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smilse, Tender Touch, and Well Beginnings.

Lundberg Family Farm’sSea Salt Rice” chips due to an undeclared dairy allergen which may cause anyone with a dairy allergy to suffer a serious and/or life-threatening allergic reaction. These products will have a “Best Used By” date of 2015 JUN 08 and the item will have a UPC of 0-73416-03530-0.
